My name is Miss Mayhem aka AJ. What got me into mixing?... well... I always had a strong passion for music even from a young age, i reckon growing up in a pub was a definite influence! one night when i was about 17 i was a punk at the time and listened to punk pretty much all the time, went to a mates one evening and he had a set of dex there that he was looking after, i was completely memorised by them and eagerly played with them playing punk eps all evening. didn't really consider myself as a dj but i was definitely intrigued!! that was my first attempt at it anyway... since then i never really started properly mucking around with dex until i was 19 and met a dj who tought me everything he knew, from mixing tunes to putting a rig together.. that was it i was completely obsessed with djing!! I actually started mixing on two cd walkmans unitl i could afford a better set up... went from that to belt drives to direct drives and i now own my dream set up... my technics 1200's and a behringer ddm4000 mixer, they are my babies!! only took me around 10 years lol!
My 4 year old daughter "Little Miss Mayhem aka May" is also learning the ways of djing and at such a young age im hoping she stays keen and goes on to be a great dj!
My genres are - jungle, dnb, house, electro, techno, gabba, dubstep etc.... i love most genres!!
My influences are - so many i cant think of many to write down but a few of my favourites are 'Deadmau5, aphex twin, autechre, plaid, rusko, tipper, SUF, Ed Cox.. and the list could go on forever!!
