I was given a full crate of hardhouse records back in late 2003 just after buying my first set of Stanton STR-80 turntables. After learning the basics of beat matching with this style, I made the change to deep, jackin, funky house. This was mostly due to a heavy influence from my friends Matt Flynn and Brendon Young. They took me under there wing and introduced me to the scene that would start my addiction.
Over the next few years I mixed at various clubs around Auckland before making the move to Melbourne. It was there that I was introduced to a more progressive, techy, style of beat. Experimenting more with driving basslines and sexy synths and punchy drums, I had found my calling.
Mixing is my religion and my church is anywhere the tunes flow.
